Critical Information Summary - Cloud PBX and SIP Service

1. General

This Critical Information Summary is for Cloud PBX and SIP Service(s) which forms part of the Service Order that You have accepted and is to be read in conjunction with the Smash General Terms and Conditions.

1.1 Service Description

Smash Cloud PBX Service is a voice technology service that is supplied over your internet service. The internet service may be supplied by Smash (for example, NBN Business Internet) or by another service provider.

1.2 Features of the Service

(a)  Smash Cloud PBX will generally include the following features unless specified otherwise in Your Service Order;

Call Barge/Eavesdrop/Intercept, Call Block, Call Queues, Call Detail Records, Call Flows, Call Pickup, Call Recordings, Call Conference, Contacts, Dial by Name, Fax Server, Fax to Email, Follow Me, Hot Desking, IVR (for example Press 1 for Sales etc), Music on Hold, Paging, Parking, Presence (& BLF), Recordings- greetings, Reception Console, Ring Groups, Softphone desktop & mobile application (optional extra), Time Conditions, Voicemail to Email and Voicemail.

(b)  Smash SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) will generally include the following features unless specified otherwise in Your Service Order;

Connection over the internet to a 3rd party onsite IP PBX to access the public voice network to enable inbound phone numbers and outbound call termination. It is a replacement of traditional digital ISDN BRI/PRI  connections to the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network). Other features include support of Virtual Numbers, Call Recording, Call Detail Records and Multiple SIP Endpoints.    

1.3 Pricing Information

Smash Cloud PBX and SIP Call Rates:

  • Rates per minute are billed per second and pro rata.
  • Call Plans with an included dollar amount (ie. $100) of credit per month are calculated on the PAYG Call Plan. Once the dollar amount within the month is exceeded it will continue to be charged at the PAYG Call Plan rates.

1.4 Requirements and Availability

(a)  Smash Cloud PBX and SIP requires a fixed broadband internet service. If Smash is not providing the internet service, an IP Phone requires a minimum of 100kbps of uncongested upstream and downstream bandwidth for optimal quality call. To utilise video calling, 2-3Mbps of bandwidth of each concurrent video call is required for optimum quality.

(b)  If Smash is not supplying the Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), it is Your responsibility to install compatible CPE, such as an IP Phone, IP PBX, modem, router or firewall and it is managed by You.

1.5 Service Uptime & Restoration

Smash Cloud PBX and SIP Service provide a 99.97% uptime availability with targeted restoration time of less than 4 hours on the same business day.

1.6 Billing

Your 1st invoice will generally include Service installation, CPE charges (if applicable) and the ongoing monthly charges for the month ahead. Subsequent monthly Service charges are in advance which cover You for the month ahead. Call usage is charged in the rears which cover You for the calls made from the previous month.  Subsequent invoices are issued on, around the 20th of each month and are paid by credit card, direct debit or EFT. Note Your card credit or bank account for direct debit will be debited in this period.
